This book design project was created for school and explores the contrast between the harshness of World War I and the growing connection between Pierre and Luce. Dark tones and textured paper were used to reflect the heaviness of the wartime setting, while touches of yellow gradually appear throughout the book to represent warmth, hope, and love. Inspired by Pierre and Luce by Romain Rolland, the project focuses on how human connection can bring comfort even during difficult times.
